Mytech Culture Experience September 2014

As we go through the year, we typically have our heads down, working hard to pay the piper. Sometimes forgetting to stop and thank those who have went above and beyond and acknowledging those who have helped you along the way. This month’s value of “Fostering a Culture of Praise” is a gentle reminder of just that. A reminder to stop, take pause and let someone know they are appreciated.

At Mytech, we have a program called the “Hertz Donut”. Anybody at Mytech can give the Hertz Donut. It’s a little card that has room for a person’s name and what monthly value they demonstrated. You fill it out and then simply walk up to the person you want to give it to and state the reason why they are receiving it. Simple! It can be given to anyone at any time should they do something above and beyond for someone else as long as it coincides with a monthly value. 

This month I would like to highlight Belva Burga aka Belvitta. Belva started in May of 2014 as our “Corporate Concierge.” This position works with all the different departments with lots of moving parts. She took the reins and asked all the right questions to make herself successful. Though her position is stressful, she always takes the time to validate those who helped her along the way. Belva is the Hertz Donut Master! She really understands the “Team” effort. She gives them away like candy. Belva understands, without the team we can’t reach the goal.

Please, let’s take a moment and congratulate Belva for “Fostering a Culture of Praise.”  We are very lucky to have Belva on our team. She brings a warm approach to everyday life here at Mytech and we are grateful to have someone who really understands what it means to “Foster a Culture of Praise”
