It’s that time of the year where we see the graduates in their hats and gowns walking down to get their degrees! What a moment of pride it is! It also made me reflect on the values they have been endowed with to carry with them through their lives! In the balance between confidence and humility, they would need both! And so do we! 
I had seen a quote a while back that went like this – “Humility is not thinking less of yourself, it is thinking of yourself less”! That stopped me in my tracks because it really means that you put others ahead of you! In this competitive world, have we really taught our kids humility and do we practice it in our professional lives? One of the values that Mytech has is ‘Practice both confidence and humility’ and this is one of my favorites because it has two positive reinforcements in one sentence. While you put up a confident front at work in front of your colleagues, customers, and bosses, you also need to have the humility to accept defeat, understand from the mistakes and put the customer front and center to be able to provide him/her the best service possible. It’s a time for reflection to better ourselves so we can mirror the values we so believe in!
